I could completely relate to her feelings about the situation and where she was coming from. As usual the story line and historical aspect of the book was amazing and I read it in one afternoon, I just had to see how it ended! In his desire to do what is best for the family he tries his best to find out the intentions of the lovely Laura and keep her from hurting the ones he loves. Together they work past the facades and discover the real essence of what has led them here to mend the past and allow them to build a future together as a family.
All in all an amazing ending to a wonderful set of books! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am looking forward to starting another series by this author! Apr 04, Judy rated it it was amazing. When an American comes knocking and claims she has a betrothal with his twin, Elijah, what can Henry do but court her to avoid a scandal?
Or find her the perfect husband. Laura Swift has a score to settle and she had devised a plan. No man will get in her way of succeeding. Not even Henry Banks, the twin who always left her a bit discombobulated by his steady blue gaze that gave nothing away. Laura had a small part in an earlier story and now the reader can see things from her side of the book. I highly recommend reading the books starting with The Scandalous Sisters to the Groom Series and then the Banks Brothers Series to get the entire picture of this crazy family.
I really enjoyed this last book. May 21, L. Miller rated it it was amazing. In the series I believe Ms Gordon did her best work in this last book. Unlike the previous three this storyline flowed freely from the moment I started till the last page. There were no moments where I reread over the last pages thinking my Kindle skipped something as with her second book. This book didn't feel rushed as if her editor was reminding her of a deadline.

What I loved the most about this book was that she finally explained the loss of Edward and unlike book three I felt the true emotion of his loss to his son. I also thought this book followed a true line of development with the romance between Henry and Laura. The only disappointment was that she still didn't resolve the storyline eluded to in the first book about Alex and Catherine.
Still I give this book the highest rating because it grabbed me from the start, held my attention though out, made me believe in the love story and surprised me with how she revealed to Henry Laura's secret. Well done! Apr 01, Alisha rated it it was amazing. I was lucky enough to read an early copy of this book and I do believe it is my favorite of the entire series.
The heroine is different from the rest, as you fall in love with her almost alongside Henry instead of cheering for her right from the beginning as with most romance novels where you are cursing the stupid, blind male for not seeing it right off. I felt that the story flowed nicely, no sudden lurches or plot holes.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves this g I was lucky enough to read an early copy of this book and I do believe it is my favorite of the entire series.

I like the quirky secondary characters like the Campbells, but I also loved the hero and heroine. I wanted to dislike Laura because of her deception but I couldn't--she had very compelling reasons for things she did. And I loved Henry for being patient, charming and kind.
Henry and Laura shared lots of witty dialogue. I read this out of sequence, and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Apr 13, Angi Neal rated it it was amazing. Shows that love can prevail! Loved the book but makes me sad the series is over:. Over the past series by Rose Gordon the Banks family and friends have become a part of my life almost! I am sad to have it come to an end. I love how she brought in Laura as Henry's match. A big twist to complete the circle so to say. I just kept waiting to see the conflict unravel!

Mar 31, Stacey rated it really liked it. I definitely enjoyed Henry's love story.
The heroine was unexpected but she deserved to win his heart. The storyline was very good, but I would have enjoyed more interaction with the family, as I do love the Banks family. I hated to reach the end, I would have enjoyed a couple hundred more pages. Mar 31, Leeann rated it it was amazing Shelves: leeann-s-favorite-books. I did not think I would like the heroine as much as I did but Ms. Gordon does know how to make the unlivable lovable. Henry now ranks as one of my favorite heroes.
I just love his attitude and inner thoughts. Once again Rose Gordon has written a number one book. May 25, Trena rated it it was amazing. As usual a great read! Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - Wikipedia
So to guard his family's name and his sister-in-law's feelings, Henry Banks tells this beautiful stranger that he is the brother she seeks and impulsively agrees to marry the stunning beauty who introduces herself as Elijah's intended. It might have been a while since she'd last seen the twins in New York, but she knows it's Henry who is claiming to be Elijah - she just doesn't care.
One Banks brother is as good as the next, as far as she's concerned. Her near ensnarement of and marriage proposal from Elijah was just part of her plan to seek revenge on their family, but Henry will suffice just as well. When Elijah and his new wife return from their recent trip to Italy, he has a lot of explaining to do.
Especially, when, for the safety of his entire family, he has to reveal what he knows about this American beauty: including her plan for revenge. Everything from his carefree manner to his genuine gestures is a stark contrast to the man she'd been married to before. But when her opportunity to seek revenge presents itself, she must decide if it's revenge she longed for, or the love of a good man, because even she knows she can't have both.
